Yarra Valley Soul Cafe

What a lovely little cafe, the service was outstanding we grabbed some hot drinks on a cold day and ended up enjoying the warmest service from the amazing barista too. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, and the pastries were a delight too. Will definitely be back.

This place is right in front of the station, so I always go there! The staff are always kind and cheerful! They open early in the morning, so they always help me out when I forget to eat breakfast! They have a wide variety of items, such as burgers and spaghetti, so it's always hard to decide what to get! Of course, the coffee is delicious and served quickly, so it's perfect for when you're waiting for a train!

Beautiful place and perfect spot for hungry train travellers. Right across the Lilydale Station, just a simple crossing of the mini street, and you’ll find this lovely small cafe! Had the delicious double smoked ham and double cheese toastie and a small mocha! So yum!

3 hot chocolates, 2 coffees and 1 mocha. Train in 10 minutes. The clock was counting down. We could see the timer from the window, it’s glow lighting up the fresh morning fog. We laughed and joked, but inside we hid an anticipation for the ever closing window of a missed train. The barista smiled knowingly, she’d saved many a coffee-craving commuter, and her demeanour calmed our shifting feet. As the clock clicked over to five minutes till regret, a single word with weight and meaning embraced the air. “Done.” We looked up. “How long have we got left?” “Five minutes.” We answered. She grinned in humble victory, and afforded herself a verbal confirmation of her craft. Placing all six drinks on the counter, she named each artwork with a signature unique, and we grabbed two each. She logged each one and we paid, and she bid us farewell as we walked to our destiny. *exaggeration used in accordance with creative license*

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend

Great local cafe with good service and amazing food. Freshly cooked bread with all meals. We ordered Smashed Avo and Feta, and Egg and Bacon Roll
